Daniela Severino – Proprietor
As proprietor of Orchard House Nursery, Daniela oversees the overall running of the nursery and is committed to creating a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment for children, staff and families.

After a career in international development, Daniela chose to follow her passion for working with children and supporting families once she had her own children. As a mother of four, she understands the importance of high-quality childcare and the needs of working parents.

She brings this personal and professional experience into the nursery, helping to shape a caring, family-focused environment and also leads some of our extra-curricular activities, including cooking and language sessions, which are a favourite among the children.

Outside of the nursery, she enjoys running, reading and cooking.
Donna Bachelor – Manager and Designated Safeguarding Officer
Donna is a Level 6 qualified childcare professional with over 30 years of experience in early years education. She began working at Orchard House Nursery at just 18 years old and, through her passion and dedication, went on to pursue her degree while raising her son and working full time.

Donna leads the nursery with a strong focus on providing high-quality care, supporting staff and ensuring every child thrives in a safe and nurturing environment. Her commitment, experience and dedication are a real asset to the team.
Sarah Day, Deputy Manager and 2nd Safeguarding Lead
Sarah is a Level 3 qualified practitioner and a forest school leader with over 15 years of experience in childcare. She plays a key role in supporting children’s development and maintaining a positive and engaging environment within the nursery.
Hannah Brent, Baby Unit leader, 3rd in Chard and 3rd Safeguarding lead
Hannah has over 15 years of experience in early years education and is dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development in a warm and caring environment.
OUR APPROACH
We believe that a happy and confident team creates the best experience for children. Our management team works closely with staff and parents to ensure consistency, strong communication and a supportive atmosphere throughout the nursery.
