Orchard House Nursery

Visit from the Dentist

Today the children had a session with the dentist. We spoke about how to brush our teeth properly, the foods that are good and bad for our teeth. We then got to practise using our toothbrushes and mirrors with the different puppets. We then ended the session with a lovely story which the dentist read.

Trip to the Local Fire Station

Our topic is about people that help us this term, on Tuesday 24th of September we took a group of children to the local fire station.

This was so much fun, we had a full tour of the fire station, we all had a turn to sit in the fire engine. We also got to use the hose which was so much fun and we were all very excited.

We fed the fish at the station and got to meet the wonderful fire people and they also had an emergency call just for us so we could see what happens when there is a real fire.

We had an amazing time and thank you for having us. We were told that we were the best behaved nursery that had ever visited.

Our Rabbits Peter and Benjie

Our rabbit Peter and Benjie have been with us for 5 years and are part of the Orchard house nursery. They are very good with the children and love to have lots of attention when running around the garden at play time. We love them lots!!!!!
